QuickBooks QBMS v0 Payment API Deprecation

We are deprecating QuickBooks QBMS v0 Payment API on Tuesday November 12, 2019.

What is happening?

The Intuit Developer Group has made the decision to deprecate the legacy v0 QBMS Payment API. The API has served Intuit, developers, and merchants for over ten years. Intuit is focused on continually providing our developers with the features and functionality needed to support our mutual customers which lead to this decision. The deprecation date is set for November 12, 2019.

Developers will now only have a single Payment API option for adding Intuit payments to your applications. The Payment API is REST-like and uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication.

When is it happening?

Can I still use Intuit Payments in my application?

Yes, you can. Intuit continues to support and enhance the Payment API found here.  Documentation on the Payment API can be found here.

What do you need to do?

  • If you have existing customers or QuickBooks Merchants using your service or application that relies on QBMS Payments v0 then you will need to migrate to the v2 Payment API.
  • If you are not planning to migrate, or need help with your migration contact us, we will try to assist.

How can I test my integration?

Documentation and additional details are available here.

Payments sandboxes are available here.

I have questions!

Help is available here  – we will answer any concerns or questions you may have.

Thank you!

Jarred – the November 12th deprecation of QBMS Payment Gateway has really messed up my business flow. I have a small business that relied on this plugin and am not a developer. I have spent 8+ hours today reading through all the docs to try to get v2 Payments API to work with WooCommerce with no luck. I created the following support ticket below to get some help.
Can you please provide a way for me to get live help from Intuit? Thanks!

    Jarred,

    You ain’t alone!

I called Intuit and they will (of course) tell me it’s a problem with Woocommerce. Their support will (of course), tell me it is Intuit.

Just like the weeks I spent getting the old QBMS API to work between them. ;-(

      Any solution for this yet?

It appears that the v0 API has been “terminated” instead of “deprecated” on 11/12/2019. If deprecated, the use of the API would be “discouraged because it has been superseded or is no longer considered efficient or safe, without completely removing it or prohibiting its use.”
