This year’s QuickBooks Connect conference took place November 13-15 in Las Vegas, where about 3,000 accountants and small business owners learned about the latest QuickBooks Online product and feature innovations. Attendees also got up close and personal with almost 100 QuickBooks Online integrations from third-party application developers showcasing their products on the exhibit floor.
Across three days of programming, attendees fostered relationships with each other, with third-party developers, and with Intuit. They heard from influential and inspirational leaders, earned CPE credits, and saw the latest updates from Intuit QuickBooks as well as from our QuickBooks developer community, many of whom were sponsors of the conference.
For those of us from the Intuit Developer team who were there in person, we got the opportunity to meet with almost every developer on the exhibit floor—many of whom we met for the first time—to learn more about the value their products bring to QuickBooks Online. We attended the main stage events, and some cool breakout sessions, and we hosted a session of our own titled “Unleash the power of the QuickBooks connected ecosystem”. We were delighted to hear our session mentioned on The Accounting Podcast (episode #359), where Blake Oliver and David Leary gushed about the things they learned at the conference. They were particularly enamored with an upcoming feature we’re calling Test Run by saying things like “This is genius!” and “That should have been shown at the main stage”.
It was beneficial for our team to listen to accountant expert Jeff Wilson of The W2 Group, LLC present to—and take questions from—a room full of accountants eager to learn more about establishing and tracking KPIs. It was exciting to sit with the rest of the attendees during the main stage sessions to learn about new QuickBooks features and partnerships and feel the power of communal inspiration from stirring speakers such as Jade Simmons, Adam Grant, and Ryan Reynolds. We realized we have a lot more in common with accountants and small business owners than we thought!
It was the first QuickBooks Connect experience for Dave Talach, Senior Vice President, QuickBooks Money and E2E Experiences, who joined Intuit this year. Dave shared that “What became apparent is that QuickBooks is THE Platform on which this community has built their businesses. It is the platform we all stand upon, and what binds this community together into a network of expertise that helps small and mid-sized businesses thrive.”
