Introducing the new Intuit Developer Portal

After months of diligent planning and thoughtful design–incorporating valuable feedback from our QuickBooks developer community–we’re eager to unveil an enhanced user experience with a redesign of the Intuit developer portal.

Here’s a rundown of the new features and improvements we’re rolling out to elevate your development journey.

A fresh look and feel

The first thing you’ll notice is a modern design that makes navigating the portal more intuitive. We’ve also revamped the interface to be visually appealing and user-friendly. We want to help you focus on developing innovative solutions for QuickBooks Online instead of sifting through menus and cluttered layouts.

Streamlined app dashboard

To get to the new app dashboard, click on My Hub > App dashboard.

The app dashboard has been redesigned to provide a clear view of vital information. Instantly see details about your apps such as the app type, creation date, and whether your app is in development or production.

A new app creation experience

The updated design helps you move through the app creation process effortlessly, with step-by-step guides to ensure nothing is overlooked and you’re supported every step of the way.

Step 1: In your app dashboard, click the ‘+’ to create a new app

Enhanced collaboration

We’ve introduced a new concept of workspaces to help you seamlessly collaborate, share resources, and keep projects organized. To see the list of your workspaces, click on My Hub > Workspaces.

Think of workspaces as folders where your apps reside. In each workspace, you can add team members and share access to apps within that workspace. By creating multiple workspaces, you can better manage access to all your apps.

Sandbox management with a new look and feel

The sandbox feature you rely on for testing environments has an updated interface where you can easily view permissions for each sandbox.

Click on My Hub > Sandboxes

See the list of sandbox companies you already have or add new ones.

Easier access to support

We’ve improved the process for connecting with our developer support team. Click My Hub > My support tickets and you’ll be taken to a dedicated page to create and track your tickets. No more navigating through complex menus—help is just a click away.


Still love the old developer portal?

If you want to toggle back to the old developer portal view, just click on My Hub > Switch to classic view.
