Intuit App Partner Program International Expansion

At Intuit, we’re deeply committed to investing in our app ecosystem and empowering our developer community to create high-quality, innovative integrations for our shared customers. For over two decades, the Intuit Developer Platform has enabled thousands of apps to power millions of customer experiences—from invoicing and billing solutions to financial reporting and payment processing.

In July of 2025, we introduced our Intuit App Partner Program in the US, with the goal of creating a stronger, more supportive ecosystem for developers. Since its US launch, the program has improved the developer experience with enhanced support, streamlined access to new APIs, and dedicated initiatives to help partners grow.

We’re excited to share that, starting November 3, 2025, the Intuit App Partner Program is expanding to the UK, Australia, and Canada (excluding Quebec). This expansion means more developers around the world can tap into the resources, tools, and opportunities designed to help them build and scale with us.

The Intuit App Partner Program

The Intuit App Partner Program is designed to accommodate partners of all sizes with different levels of engagement and benefits across multiple tiers. The new program includes four partner tiers: Builder, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Each tier offers a unique set of benefits designed to provide the resources, support, and growth opportunities needed to thrive in our ecosystem. Whether you’re just starting to build an app on the Intuit Developer Platform or looking to grow your solution further, this program will have benefits to help you achieve your goals.

Partner tiers

To ensure a smooth and natural progression on our platform, we’ve thoughtfully structured our tier requirements. To start, you will be automatically assigned to the Builder tier, allowing you to build and innovate without the worry of incurring any charges. However, the Builder Tier has a capped number of API calls per month. Should you need more API calls or wish to start capitalizing on Core and CorePlus APIs as well as Premium APIs, you can subscribe to the Silver tier. Alternatively, partners may upgrade to the Gold and Platinum tiers, each offering additional benefits and having their own set of requirements. In the Gold tier, you can expect improved benefits to help grow your business, as well as an allocated partner team. Our highest tier, Platinum, unlocks even greater benefits such as premium support and early access to new features.

Partner tier requirements:

Below is a list of definitions for terms referenced in the table above.

  • Compliance: Intuit must approve your app specific self-assessment questionnaire. You must accept our Intuit Developer Terms of Service and comply with the Intuit App Partner Program Guide.
  • Payment method: See table below for accepted methods of payment for each region.
  • App Marketplace listing: An active listing on our App Marketplace in at least one region (US, CA, UK, AU, or Global).
  • Active connections: Defined as an individual Intuit QuickBooks Online (QBO) or Intuit Enterprise Suite (IES) subscriber that has an active QBO or IES subscription and a valid, non-expired OAuth token.

Benefits and incentives

Partner benefits are structured across three areas:

  • Build is centered around all things development, with tools, resources, and analytics to aid in your development journey. Whether it’s building an entirely new integration or enhancing your existing integration with new features.
  • Engage outlines all the ways we’ll partner more deeply with you. This includes account management, technical consultation and support, and other ways to partner with Intuit.
  • Grow is focused on helping you grow your customer base and expand your reach. This will include badging, access to our Partner Resource Center, and more.

Stay tuned for upcoming announcements and check out our Program Guide with a complete list of benefits per partner tier.

Intuit API classification

Metered API calls to our platform will be classified into one of two categories: Core and CorePlus. The combination of the endpoint called, and HTTP method used determines whether an API call is classified as Core or CorePlus.

  • Core API calls cover most data-in operations such as creating or updating invoices, bills, customers, vendors, etc. Core API calls are unmetered and uncharged.
  • CorePlus API calls cover most data-out operations such as reading accounts, querying company information, and fetching reports. CorePlus API calls are metered, and charges may apply.

To see a full breakdown of Intuit APIs and their respective categories, see this article.

Program fees, API credits, and variable API fees

With these Intuit API categories in mind, our pricing model is based on a flat monthly program fee with uncapped Core API credits. This fee differs per partner tier and unlocks specific benefits, CorePlus API credits, and an API rate card based on the tier. Only the Builder tier is excluded from the flat program fee. While all tiers provide uncapped Core API credits, each tier carries a different amount of CorePlus API credits.

API credits are an included monthly allotment of API calls, segmented by category. For the Builder tier, these credits reset each month, providing you with a new allotment. For the Silver, Gold, and Platinum tiers, these credits will reset according to your billing cycle, as long as you remain actively subscribed to a given tier.

The Builder tier will include 500,000 CorePlus API credits per month. Any CorePlus calls made above the included monthly credit will be blocked. For partners looking to expand their usage, uncapped CorePlus API calls can be unlocked by subscribing to the Silver tier. The Silver tier provides 1 million CorePlus API credits. Any CorePlus calls made above the included monthly credit will be subject to variable API fees, which will be metered and charged according to the applicable rate card. This methodology also applies to both the Gold and Platinum tiers, with increasing levels of CorePlus API credits as well as improved API rate cards.

Refer to this table for the program fees, API credits, and API rate card by tier for each region.

A few additional points to note:

  • Only successful API calls, specifically those returning a 2xx HTTP status code, will be metered.
  • The payment method and relevant billings apply at the Workspace level.
  • API calls and API credits are aggregated across all production apps in a given Workspace.
  • The variable API fee operates on a tiered volume structure. API calls are charged at the given rate within the volume tier. API calls that go beyond one volume tier will be charged at the rate of the next volume tier.

To review examples of our platform service fees across different tiers and usage patterns, see this article.
