What is happening?
On June 1st, 2016, Intuit will discontinue all support for the QuickBooks Online v2 REST API. After June 1st, 2016, applications will no longer be allowed to make v2 API calls.
Why is this happening?
About two years ago, Intuit announced the availability of v3 of the QuickBooks Online REST API. Since then, weve been encouraging you to migrate your apps from v2 to v3, in this post, this post, and this post.
QuickBooks Online v3 provides the same functionality as v2 with improved usability and performance.
We want to remind you that there is little more than 6 months to go till the official discontinuation of QuickBooks Online v2 API on June 1, 2016.
What are the next steps?
Over the past months, we have been reaching out via email to developers who are still using the V2 APIs. We will continue to contact you over the coming months to make sure you have the resources you need to complete your migration before June 1, 2016.
