We are introducing two new features to the QuickBooks App Store! We encourage you to take advantage of these features to improve the discoverability of your app as soon as possible.
What is happening?
We are adding the following features to the QuickBooks App Store:
- Industry collections
- Language filters
Tagging your app with the industry collections filter will help customers find apps that are best suited for their industry. For example, if someone is searching for a construction app, they can use the construction industry filter to narrow down their search results. Similarly, tagging your app with the language filter will help customers find the app in their preferred language.
What do I need to do?
If you haven’t done so already, follow the steps below to tag your app with a primary and secondary industry, and tag the languages that your app supports:
- Log in to your Intuit Developer account.
- Select List on our marketplace from the left navigation menu.
Tag your industries:
- Scroll down to the section header Select an industry.
- Select up to 2 industries that best categorize your app. If your app is not industry specific, select “Not industry specific” from the Primary drop-down menu.
Tag your languages:
- Under the section header Select what languages your app supports, indicate all the languages in which your app is currently available.
- Click Save.
What happens if I don’t tag my app with these new filters?
If you don’t tag applicable industries or languages for your app listing, those sections will remain blank in the developer portal. As a result, your app listing will miss out on improved discoverability from favorable search results when these features go live on the QuickBooks App Store.
