  • It's a Wrap! 2015 Highlights for Intuit Developer

Developers! With 2016 only just days away, it’s time to reflect on all things 2015 – take a look back and take stock of all the accomplishments, milestones and updates that happened this year. Here are just a few of the highlights:

  • Overview of Apps.com Review process

Building an app to help the lives of accountants and small businesses can be hard work, and it would be a shame for all that effort to not reach the people who could use it most. QuickBooks Apps.com is a repository that we manage for people who have built apps that integrate into QuickBooks Online. We do this primarily to make sure that our QuickBooks Online users can find the best apps to help run their business, but also to make sure that our developers get the help they need when distributing and marketing their app. In this post we will be covering the three reviews required to publish your app on QuickBooks Apps.com.

  • Deleting Data from your Developer Sandbox Environment

Since we launched the Sandbox dev environment over a year ago, a frequent feature request has been the ability to delete the data in a given QuickBooks Online Sandbox company. In response to this feedback, we added this feature to the QuickBooks Sandbox environment couple of months ago. I wanted to take this opportunity to recap this feature.

  • PHP SDK v2.3 for QuickBooks Online Now Available

We are excited to announce the availability of an updated PHP SDK for QuickBooks. This version of the SDK includes the addition of reports as well as bug fixes.

  • 3 Months To Go: Timeline to Discontinue the QuickBooks Desktop REST API and Intuit Sync Manager

We are three months out from the deprecation of the QuickBooks Desktop REST API and Intuit Sync Manager happening on March 1, 2016. With only three months to go, development and migration to your new application and messaging to your customers should be in full swing.

  • Moving from Lord of the Apps to Lord of the Rings

You may have seen the news earlier this week that I will be joining Air New Zealand as their Chief Digital Officer. While I’m very excited about this amazing opportunity, it was not an easy decision for me to leave Intuit.

  • Intuit AppConnect Beta Closing

The Intuit AppConnect Beta program is now closed. If you used Intuit AppConnect Beta to create your app, support for that app will end on March 1st 2016. We encourage you to build your integration as a new app using our APIs and SDKs instead.

  • On Her Majesty's Apps and Services

Earlier this Fall, I attended the HMRC (Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs) Third-Party Developer Conference at the Royal Society in London. HMRC is a non-ministerial department of the UK Government responsible for the administration and collection of direct taxes, including income tax and corporation tax, indirect taxes including value-added tax, and environmental taxes. These are activities that are very relevant to the small businesses that Intuit serves.

  • Ready for Replay: QuickBooks Connect 2015 Developer Sessions

Did you attend the developer sessions at QuickBooks Connect 2015 and wish you could refer back to the slides from the talks? Or maybe you couldn’t make it to the event, and you’re wondering what you missed? The presentation content is now posted to the Intuit Developer channel on SlideShare for your reference.

  • Recurring Billing with the QuickBooks Payments API

It’s simple to use the QuickBooks Payments API for recurring billing. As a developer, you can create a wallet for a customer, store the tokenized credit card in said wallet, and retrieve it to charge it monthly.
