Intuit Financial Data APIs (CAD) Update
Financial data aggregation is important to Intuit products and third-party applications alike. However, as Intuit hones our focus on our core products, we have recognized that providing aggregation to 3rd -party developers no longer fits with our core growth strategy. So that we can prioritize support for developer contributions that directly enhance the QuickBooks platform, we have decided to discontinue the Financial Data APIs (formerly known as CAD).

Hello {Intuit Developer} World
Late last week, I officially started my new role as the leader of the Intuit Developer team. I’m excited to work with all of you in our community, and I’d like to share a little bit about me. I’ve held a variety of roles as a developer, manager, and engineering exec in startups and multi-national companies. Early in my career, I also founded a three-person startup on the Apple platform. I have walked in your shoes, and felt the pain and thrill of building a business on a platform.

Moving from Lord of the Apps to Lord of the Rings
You may have seen the news earlier this week that I will be joining Air New Zealand as their Chief Digital Officer. While I’m very excited about this amazing opportunity, it was not an easy decision for me to leave Intuit.

On Her Majesty's Apps and Services
Earlier this Fall, I attended the HMRC (Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs) Third-Party Developer Conference at the Royal Society in London. HMRC is a non-ministerial department of the UK Government responsible for the administration and collection of direct taxes, including income tax and corporation tax, indirect taxes including value-added tax, and environmental taxes. These are activities that are very relevant to the small businesses that Intuit serves.
