Intuit Developer Growth Program Spotlight: Method CRM

Despite their success, the Method team recognizes they’re operating in a crowded, competitive market and they can’t rest on their laurels.

And they aren’t.

Here’s a look at how the program benefitted Method and how the CRM platform went from start-up to five-star success in the QuickBooks App Store.

Method CRM: helping businesses grow

Jackson founded Method in 2010. Like all small businesses, Method felt the pain of using inflexible, out-of-the-box software. So Jackson and his team decided to design and build a customizable app for QuickBooks users that offered enterprise benefits like multi-entity support and advanced customization at small-business prices.

Based on over 1,400 five-star reviews in the QuickBooks App Store, Method has succeeded. Following are just a few excerpts from many glowing customer reviews:

“I wish I found this app years ago. It is easy to use and customize and has eliminated duplicate and triplicate entries into other systems.” – CraigL

“This app helps me organize my daily tasks and plan my whole week in advance. It helps me not miss any tasks, and the UI is super easy to navigate and pleasing to use.” – Karlii

“Method has been able to help us navigate our unique business goals. Really thankful for their promptness and knowledgeable team.” – GeremyD

“Method is enabling us to stay on Quickbooks for longer, which is a huge cost savings and sanity saver. I especially like how customizable it is.” – AbigailC

As to why Method is so loved, Jackson says, “Unlike traditional CRMs, Method goes beyond basic contact management. It acts as a natural extension of QuickBooks, offering powerful tools like lead collection, email tracking, customer portals, e-signature approvals, custom proposal templates, multi-entity support and more—all while keeping your financials in sync.”

Method also offers advanced, next-level customization. “Method isn’t just a CRM. It’s a platform that adapts to your business. Whether you need automated commission reports, multi-location or multi-entity management, complex job tracking, or a more streamlined sales process, Method can be tailored to fit your exact workflow, eliminating operational bottlenecks.”

Method’s overall mission, Jackson says, is to “help businesses get more out of QuickBooks so they can grow and scale without feeling the need to leave the ecosystem.”

Success with the Developer Growth Program

Method found out about the Developer Growth Program from companies they’ve collaborated with who highlighted the benefits of participating. As participants, the Developer Growth Program helps them stay on top of inevitable changes.

“As QuickBooks evolves, our top priority is to ensure our two-way sync maintains a seamless sync experience. We also want to make sure our solution remains a natural extension of QuickBooks for our users,” Jackson shares. “That’s why partnering with Intuit in the Developer Growth Program is so valuable. It provides us with critical insights which help us refine our product and better serve QuickBooks customers.”

For Jackson, the most valuable benefit was ‌direct feedback from accountants and Intuit experts. “Having Intuit review everything from our app listing and onboarding experience to security and product functionality has given us deeper insights into how we can fine-tune Method CRM to better serve QuickBooks users.”

For example, the expert accountant panel provided direct insights into key workflows from an accountant’s lens. “While we regularly conduct customer interviews, the accountants’ hands-on review of our app helped clarify how to enhance functionality for accounting professionals. Their feedback reinforced critical areas of focus and played a key role in shaping our product roadmap to better support their workflows.”

The assets in the Intuit marketing portal also influenced Method’s marketing strategies.

Jackson says the Intuit marketing portal has been a valuable resource for his marketing team. They use its insights and assets to enhance emails, newsletters, and social campaigns in ways that resonate with Method customers. “These materials have helped us align with Intuit’s initiatives and find new ways to work together to maximize our impact.”

“With the combined efforts of both companies and Intuit’s promotional support, we attracted over 300 registrants. This significantly expanded our reach and engagement,” he says. “This collaboration helped drive awareness and reinforced the value of partnering with other QuickBooks app developers to reach a wider audience of QuickBooks users.”

Advice for other QuickBooks app companies

Jackson believes Intuit’s Developer Growth Program would be incredibly beneficial for other app companies. He says Intuit provides excellent support by helping ensure third-party apps are well positioned to serve QuickBooks customers effectively. He says the program delivers a multi-faceted review process that’s an essential benefit for app developers.

“This comprehensive feedback helps us refine our product, optimize the free trial and in-app experience, and better meet the needs of QuickBooks users. This partnership is a key driver of success for app companies looking to scale within the QuickBooks ecosystem.”

We’re grateful to Jackson for taking the time to share his insights and highlight the benefits of participating in the Intuit Developer Growth Program. We extend our best wishes for Method’s continued success and growth as they continue to improve their CRM solution for QuickBooks customers.
